The "Sparklelite" is a portable Q-switch ND-YAG laser 1064nm-532nm unit made specially to remove unwanted pigmentation, small vascular lesions and tattoos.

1064nm
The sucess of the 1064nm wavelength is well known.
The idea is clear, the largest is the vessel the more the chromophores are available to absorb the energy at 1064 nanometres, also the higher is the wavelength the deepest is the penetration on the skin.
1064nm is the ideal wavelength for removal of black and blue pigments.

532nm
At 532 nanometres the laser is different, green colour, who function upon organic tissues are quite different from the laser at 1064nm.
The haemoglobin in the human body, and in pigmented brown and red tattoo ink, have strong absorbing effect on 532 nanometres wavelength.
The 532nm also penetrate alot less than the higher nanometres wavelengths.
After absorbing 532nm laser the subcutaneous tissues, such as cappillaries, will break out to form a subcutaneous gore, which is called "purpura" in medical terms.
The 532nm laser emition will attack the brown and red pigments, smashing it in pieces, to be metabolised and excreted out of the human body by macrophages.
532nm is the ideal wavelength for removal of brown, red and yellow pigments.
